OEM-Spec Steering Rack Upgrade for 5th Gen Toyota 4Runners
This is our all-new billet Tundra steering rack conversion kit, it has been redesigned from the ground up to fix the shortcomings of the old rack and deliver the strongest, most reliable steering solution on the market. This new rack fixes every issue from the old one: frame interference, mount alignment, and limited stroke and more!
Built for serious off-roaders running oversized tires and long travel, this kit provides OEM+ reliability with the precision of a fully CNC-machined billet housing.
This is the ultimate steering rack upgrade if you’re running big tires, lockers, and demanding terrain.
Billet Design Highlights:
Narrowed rack width for full stroke range without compromises
Bushings made to properly fit J120 & J150 frames
Corrected bore axis, no more eccentric bushings or relocated mounting bungs, and tie rods now clear coilovers
3-piece design allows seal condition to be verified before and during assembly
Pinion shifted closer to center to eliminate frame interference (no more frame notching)
Pinion tilted upward for improved inline steering angle at the u-joint
Tundra Inner & Outer Tie Rods or Heavy-Duty Heim Steering w/ Solid 17-4 Stainless Tie Rods (Option)

Fitment Notes:
The A-arm length "+x.xx" option is only for aftermarket long travel A-arms that extend track width. A 3” lift alone does not require this option — choose stock length if you’re on factory or mid-travel arms.
The shortened rack cannot be threaded to M24x1.5 (GX460, 2GFJ, 5G4R) alternative options for tie rods are available.
The Tundra Outer Tie Rods have a different taper than the stock 4Runnner. The stock spindle needs to be reamed out with a 1:10 taper. We can service your spindles or you can purchase a reamed spindle from us.
