KDSS Lean

KDSS drop kits are not designed to fix or prevent KDSS lean. Lean is caused by imbalance in the KDSS hydraulic system, not sway bar position, links, or suspension geometry.

Why Install This?

This kit replaces the OEM passenger-side fixed KDSS link with a longer, stronger billet 7075 aluminum link while retaining a spacer on the driver-side KDSS strut.

It achieves the same result as traditional rear drop spacers, but in a stronger, safer, and more trail-resilient way.

Why This Exists

Modern KDSS trucks are being wheeled harder than ever. In off-road situations like ledge drops or rock impacts, the OEM fixed link can take a direct hit.

Once alignment is compromised, failures compound quickly. This billet link eliminates that weak point.

OEM Failure Example

The OEM fixed link is a known weak point. Hard trail impacts can bend the link, forcing the sway bar out of position and damaging the KDSS strut.

This billet link removes that failure point entirely.

Install Notes

• Best installed with vehicle on its own weight
• Rear axle may be placed on jack stands for clearance
• Support sway bar with a hydraulic floor jack

Before starting:

• If your vehicle is 2–3+ years old or exposed to salt, soak bolts with penetrating oil for several days. These bolts are known to seize and break if rushed.
