5th Gen 4Runner TRD Pro Dash TOYOTA Letters, Curved Fitment (2010-2024)

Inspired by the new 6G 4Runner, we have a set of TRD Pro style and Trailhunter style TOYOTA letters designed specifically for the 5th Gen 4Runner (2010-2024). Compatible with all trims: Limited, SR5, TRD Off-Road, TRD Pro, etc.

A template is provided so that you can install it in the center of dash, or right-aligned on the dash. 

There are other TOYOTA dash letter sets on the market, but most are 3D printed as flat letters. The problem is that the 5th Gen 4Runner dash surface has a subtle curve, so flat letters tend to rock, lift at the edges, or look slightly off once installed. Other products/sellers recommend heating each letter with a heat gun and manually curving the letters around the dash. However, this approach poses problems, as it can overheat the letters and damage them, or worse, cause burns when using a heat gun on the letters.

We designed something better!

We designed these letters with an integrated curve to match that dash profile curve, so they sit on the passenger side dash panel with a factory-style fit - no heat gun needed. The letters have already been precision fit to the dash curve on the 5th Gen 4Runner.

Installation

Clean the dashboard area with a damp microfiber towel to remove dust and debris. Wipe the surface with isopropyl alcohol using a clean cloth. Allow the area to fully dry before placing any letters.

Step 1. Clean Dash Panel 

Grab some interior cleaner and wipe down your dash. 

Step 2. Apply VHP Tape on Letters

Depending on how your kit came, you may need to apply 3M VHB tape. Start by applying the 3M tape to the backside of each letter.

Step 3. Install Template

Line up the template with the dash. The template has been designed to sit flush against the top and bottom curvature lines on the dash. Use a bit of masking tape to help hold the template in place on the dash. Note: Do not move the template back and forth on the dash, or you risk scratching your dash plastics. 

On the 5th Gen 4Runner, you have a couple of options for left-to-right placement. 

1. Center the letters in the middle of the dash panel: Measure the distance of your dash, and mark a center line on masking tape with a sharpie. Now align your installation template with that centerline and then use masking tape to hold the template in place. 
2. Right-Align the letters (pictured above): If you want the OEM 6th Gen 4Runner look, you would right-align the letters so that the letter "A" lines up just below the airbag text on the dash. Start by placing a piece of masking tape from the airbag text straight down the dash. Now align the "A" with your template against the tape, but not over the tape. Now align your installation template and then use masking tape to hold the template in place. 

Step 3. Apply Letters

Once the 3M tape has been applied, you can start placing your letters into the correct location on the template. The "Ts" and the "Os" are the same shape, so don't worry about mixing those up. Test position the letters first, then peel the backing from the adhesive and press each letter firmly into place. Apply steady pressure on each letter to ensure full adhesive contact against the curved surface.

Step 4. Remove Tape & Template

After the letters have been installed. You can remove your masking tape and then gently pull up on the template to remove it.
