DR KDSS Front KDSS Sway Bar Adapters 

Overview

Stop buying parts you don’t need, understand why you want this upgrade before purchasing. Make sure you’re aware of the return and restock policy before ordering. These are the original KDSS sway bar adapters, not knockoffs. Each set is made from 7075 aircraft-grade billet aluminum for superior strength and durability, and all current versions are finished in black anodizing for protection.

Vehicle Fitment

These adapters are designed specifically for KDSS-equipped 2010+ Toyota 4Runners. They are intended to correct the poor bushing angle that occurs when adding a suspension lift of around 2.25 inches or more.

Design & Versions

The adapters are sold in pairs and include hardware for installation. Version 1.0, now discontinued, was made from chromoly steel with four mounting holes. Version 2 introduced the current billet aluminum design with three mounting holes. Version 3 retains the same three-hole design with updated geometry for better fitment. Installation requires cutting off the bottom hooks of the factory bushing bracket.

Important Notes

Orders typically ship within 36–48 hours. These adapters cannot be combined with a front KDSS drop spacer, as using both will push the sway bar too far forward, causing interference. If your bushing angle is only slightly off, the adjustable bushing bracket may be the better solution. For extended travel setups, the adapters should be combined with the DR KDSS bushing bracket. These are designed to work with stock KDSS-style lower control arm mounts.

Benefits

By installing these adapters, the sway bar is kept higher and out of harm’s way, eliminating the need for drop spacers that make the bar more vulnerable. They prevent over-extension of the KDSS strut, correct poor bushing angle from taller lifts, and improve suspension cycling by reducing bind. The harder mounting position extends bushing life, makes bushing service easier, and allows full droop when paired with extended travel or long-travel suspension kits. Additional benefits include reduced sway bar spring rate, stronger jack points, and improved clearance from skid plates and frame contact.

What’s Included

Each kit includes two adapters, two M12x1.25x40 flange head bolts, two M12x1.25x20mm flange head bolts, and two M12x1.25x25mm cap head bolts.
