DR KDSS Front Sway Bar Billet Clamps (4Runner)
Overview
If you were to buy one product from DR KDSS, this would be it. The front sway bar billet clamps are by far the most important part offered for the KDSS system on a 5th gen 4Runner. These clamps keep the KDSS sway bar locked in place where it belongs, preventing the side-to-side shifting that eventually causes noise, wear, and even damage.
Why You Need It
From the factory, Toyota uses rubber straps and pressed-on metal straps to keep the sway bar centered. That works fine for street driving, but once you introduce off-road articulation, those straps eventually fail. When they do, the sway bar shifts to one side, and the KDSS shock body can make contact with the frame. Many owners mistake this for a bad KDSS shock, when in reality it’s just the bar walking out of position. These billet clamps stop that problem before it starts.
Design & Construction
Each clamp is CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum and sold in pairs. Most setups only need one pair installed on the outsides at the bends of the sway bar. Adding a second pair on the inside of the hard link and KDSS shock makes the system even stronger, replacing the weak pressed-on straps with a rigid locking solution. The design also lets you fine-tune the bar’s position, effectively “cheating” the system to center it better than stock.

Install Notes
Fits all 2010–current 5th gen 4Runners with KDSS. Early 2010–2014 models use a slightly different sway bar shape, so you may see a larger gap between clamp halves, but function is unaffected. 2010–2017 trucks use older-style bushings and bottom caps. You may need to slightly trim the boot strap ring or upgrade to 2018+ bottom caps and bushings for perfect fit.
