Sxth Element Intake Performance Mod for 6th Gen 4Runner +14hp!!
We are extremely excited about the release of the SXTH Element CPLT Intake for the 2025 6th Gen 4Runner, and after testing the difference between the factory intake and the SXTH Element intake... the choice is clear in both sound and response but it's not for everyone.
The SXTH Element intake is not for everyone though. If you're looking for performance gains, it's definitely for you. You gain an additional +14HP at the wheels!!! That's pretty crazy for a simple mod like an intake.
The SXTH Element intake might not be for you if you don't want to hear the turbo bypass flutter. It's not overly loud like the Trailhunter model, but you will notice a difference driving around town.
After testing the intake for the past few months, we have grown to love it. We were fortunate enough to get a prototype unit for testing, and it's been amazing so far. Zero problems. This is going to be a great mod for many owners looking for more power and a bit of excitement when hearing the "Swoooooosh" sound of the turbo on the 6th Gen 4Runner.
Product Overview
This setup pulls fresh air from the fender like stock but flows through a larger airbox, high-flow dry filter, and smooth intake tube tuned for the factory MAF.
No tuning, no CELs, dyno-proven up to 14 HP at the wheels. Trailhunter and TRD Pro trims need tuning, but all other models are bolt-on and ready to go.
The QuickSnap magnetic lid makes filter service simple with no hardware to strip or lose.
Fit and finish are OEM-level, and it looks clean in the bay.
14 HP Increase Over Factory Intake
The gain is subtle but noticeable at shift points.
The intake helps the hybrid stay in the power band with less effort during throttle transitions and mid-range pulls.
It doesn’t feel like a huge bump in power, but the response is sharper and smoother.
6th Gen Turbo Sound Increase
With this intake, you can now hear the turbo bypass flutter that’s normally muffled by the factory intake
As mentioned previously, it’s not as loud as the Trailhunter with a snorkel, but it’s there and adds character without being annoying.
Inside the cabin, the sound fades at higher music volumes or with windows down, but it’s a nice balance overall.
We love this intake.
