Light Bar Quality
The quality of the light bar is what you would expect for a couple of hundred dollars. You're not getting Baja Designs or KC Lights style quality, but the actual housing is nice. It features heat sink fins on the backside, nice stainless hardware on the front, and quality heat shrink on the connections from the bar to the pig tails.
Bracket Quality & Installation
The brackets are all CNC cut and engineered to fit perfectly on the 6th Gen. The brackets are also powder-coated black, which is a nice touch. When we installed the brackets, they went on flawlessly. Just make sure you install the brackets with the lightbar towards the top of the bumper and not towards the bottom of the bumper. You will realize if they are upside down once you put the fog light shroud back on. The installation is pretty simple on this kit, though. Once the bumper cover is off, the fog lights can be installed in under 20 minutes.
Plug and Play Pig Tail Quality
The pig tails are very nice! The quality of the pigtail is what you would expect to see from a high-quality company. They use a weatherpack connector and it mates up to the OEM pig tail perfectly. They made the installation very simple with this fog light kit.
Fitment
The fitment of the bar behind the plastics could be a little better, as the actual lightbar itself is close to the front plastic shroud on the 6th Gen 4Runner.
Light Output
The light output is enough for a fog light. They are not going to blind oncoming traffic. This is more like a DOT-approved light rather than a high-power off-road light. Just enough light output to make a difference and not so much that you're blinding oncoming traffic.
Product Review
Overall, the kit is nice for $200. You really can't go wrong if you're looking for a simple solution to add amber color to your fog light bezel. Again, the fitment could be a little better against the fog light shroud. It's very close, but it does work. The color on the lights is in the 3000 kelvin range and the total lumen output is 7000. Not bad for a compact little 7" light bar. We're running it now on our 6th Gen 4Runner and would buy the kit again. I say go for it if you're looking for an affordable solution.
